What Causes Sound And Pain In The Knee On Bending?

Hi worried about my knee. Started with severe twisted feeling about a year after having my daughter to the point of not being able to put weight on it ir it gave way. Resting it usually sorted it out. Now that twisting has stopped but getting dull ache in kneecap area and loud crunching noise when I bend it this is there all the time?
