What Causes Spams Accompanied By Sever Pain And Shivers?

hey i need help! my boyfriend just did something we both cant explain, he has like a spasm, its rare, an has only happened 4 times in the past few years, he shakes real bad, claims to be in alot of pain, doesnt respond properly, claims to be in a lot of pain, falls in and out of sleep, then it just goes away
