What Causes Spams In Diaphragm?

About three weeks ago, I had a car accident. It wasn t serious, I was hit by someone in the rear while I was waiting for a light change. Since the time, I have been having spasms in my diaprahgm. At first it was just a small thumping. Now it is thumpintg continuously all of the time every day. It doesn t hurt, but it is extremely worrisome and annoying. What could it be?

Hi welcome to HCM.
Blunt injury of chest and abdomen have to carefully assessed to rule out injury to vital organs like heart/cardiac contusion.Diaphragmatic injuries can lead improper contractions leading to spasms.A Helical CT chest can help to rule out these afforesaid injuries.Laproscopic surgical repair can offer permanent cure.Drugs like Baclofen can help to reduce the muscle spasms.Consult a cardiothoracic surgeon for further help.
Thank you
