What Causes Spasms And Pain In Lower Spine Along With Chronic Constipation?
I have had spasm and pain on my lower spine. I also have chronic constipation. I am normally able to go twice a week. I am bipolar therefore I take several antidepressants which I Understand can cause constipation. My doctor kind of blows me off when I try to talk about my back because I m bipolar and I guess He thinks that I would abuse it. Which I would not. . Also I had a complete hysterectomy four months ago with my ovaries removed. My abdomen is always swollen I look eight months pregnant. A lot of times I will have to take a pill laxative to get any relief. I ve tried every over-the-counter medication and nothing gets rid of my pain.

Hi,
The severe pressure you have while exerting for motions might cause pressure on lumbo-sacral vertebrae which can get displaced and slip to cause the spinal pain by the nerve pressure caused by spondilitis. To get investigated for any probable bowel problems leading to consolation apart from the medicines you are taking. It should be decided and advised by a gastroenterologist. Addition of sufficient fibers and plenty of water in diet along with routine exercises would help the specific therapy according to the basic cause.
