What Causes Spasms In The Arm At Nights?

I HAVE BEEN HAVING A HARD TIME WITH MY LEFT ARM BY NOT BEING ABLE TO MOVE ARM BACKWARDS ANYMORE. I WAS GIVEN A ROUND OF PREDINISON AND IT DID HELP BUT NOW I HAVE A DIFFERENT PAIN AND IT FEELS LIKE MY ARM IS HAVING SPASMS AND IT IS WAKING ME AT NIGHT.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

* As per my case evaluation, there can be ligament spasm, sprain, nerve compression or else causing arm discomfort.
* In our clinic, after thorough examination, I recommend primary relief with analgesic and anti inflammatory tablets, assisted physiotherapy and later on evaluation with x-ray, MRI or others as per the progress. Do continue to use our medical services.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
