Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Spasms In The Stomach And Legs After Removal Of Large Intestine?
Due to inflammation of my large intestines. I had to have 3 ft of my large intestines removed in 1971. Now, I am having spasm problems of my stomach, and spasms of my muscles in my legs, feet and fingers. I am concerned about needing another operation in regards to my large intestines. Last, I have also received a letter from my Eye doctor regarding suspicions of Glucoma and IBD.
If you have been put on steroids for your IBD then there are chances of development of glaucoma and these two could be linked. I don't think the spasms on the limbs is linked to the IBD and you should get that checked.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Harshita, Ophthalmologist
