What Causes Spasms In The Upper Body After A Lung Wedge Resection?

I am 59 yrs old and in Jan 2016 had my second lung wedge dissection done....I have had alot of trouble with my upper body since then (rib and under breast area) lately I have had spasms which all but take the wind out of me when they come on....I have talked to my surgeon and he has done 2 nerve blocks while that has helped in the back area I am still having these spasms which do not occur all the time (thankfully) I have gone probably 10 days with none and today they are back...

It could be a muscular pain.

As a first line management you can take analgesics like paracetamol or aceclofenac for pain relief.

If symptoms persist, it is better to consult a physician and get evaluated.
