What Causes Spasms On The Left Side Of The Urethra?

I have been incontinent for years. I have had a complete hysterectomy and bladder lift, then a few years after that a bladder tie up. Lately the incontenence is getting worse. The last few days I have had off and on little spasm like sensations to the left side of my urethra. What can you tell me about this?
