Understanding your concern. As per your query you have spasms on right side of the face which is probably occuring due to Bell's Palsy also known as facial nerve palsy which can occurs due to either trauma, inflammation or viral infiltration of the nerve that can cause infection of the facial nerve that is a seventh cranial nerve and supplies muscles of face. But such symptoms can also occur due to allergic reaction or other nerve dysfunctions. If the underlying cause is cured gradually the symptoms will also subside. Usually the symptoms goes in few days by their own. Doctor can be advised you to take steroids, vitamin B-complex supplements and cold compresses on the affected side for faster recovery. If there is viral infection anti-viral medication like Acyclovir can be given. As far as his current treatment is concerned that is physiotherapy and alternate warm and cool compresses is concerned it is appropriate treatment and can be continued under supervision of a neurophysician.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
