What Causes Spasms Under Right Rib?

I am an active 55 yr old female. I have a strange symptom that just started about two weeks ago. I can only describe it as a internal hiccup? It seems to be under my right rib? I guess it could be characterized as a spasm. It happens about every 18 - 30 seconds. I feel it when I sit down. Not when I am standing or moving.

HI
Well come to HCM
I really appreciate your concern, such symptom could be due to sudden erratic movement of diaphragm (Abdomen) and this is mostly happening due to hyperacidity ( if this long last and does not stop after while) in my opinion such condition can be managed with antacid that contain local anesthetic agent, and "Tab Omeprazole 40 mg and Domperidone 30 mg" once in day, hope this information helps, take care.
