Hi, I was diagnosed with migraines about 3 yrs ago. But they are a very obscure type. I get migraine spasms anywhere in my upper body, and can be both sides at the one time or one side only. I don t get light, sound, or smell sensitivity, nausea or vomiting. The longest one I ve had was 28 days long. More recently I ve had them start very suddenly (within seconds) and can be very severe and can stop me on the spot. I find it very hard to describe them to people as, for the most part (if they are not a sudden onset migraine) I can generally still function. I take Topomax and Sandomigran at present as treatment which works well for the most part. My question is, what are these type of migraines called as I cannot find them listed anywhere. When I first presented with them to my GP he looked in a book on hi shelf read out a description and it was exactly what I was feeling
