What Causes Spinal Pressure After Receiving A Lumbar Injection?

Hi! I received a R lumbar injection on Monday, since having the injection I have been experiencing spinal pressure, pain radiating from L side of buttox to the R and radiating down to L groin with muscle spasm. This is my 3rd injection, I first received the injection in the L lumbar followed by the R about 3-4 months ago. I did not experience any of these symptoms with the previous injections.

Hi,

Yes after lumbar injections this is common. Try to visit your doctor again for assessment. Pain killers like Brufen will be of help.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Mutuma Geoffrey Zambezi
