What Causes Spinning Head Post Upper Wisdom Tooth Extraction?

I had my upper wisdom tooth extracted yesterday, it s been a bit painful but not to bad. I had a dizzy spell in the middle of the extraction happening. Last night i had a bit of a restless nights sleep and every time i woke up I felt the room spinning. I have just been taking ibuprofen when i need it. Is it normal to feel dizziness after an upper wisdom tooth extraction? My ear has felt a bit stuffy to.

Hi..
Can understand your concern..

As per your complain dizziness during the extraction procedure can happen due to extreme anxiety especially if you have pain as anxiety can lead to reduced sugar level or there can be transient reduction in blood pressure which can cause dizzy spells.

I am pretty sure that the dentist must have given you antibiotics and painkillers after extraction and dizziness and spinning of head can be due to side effect of any of the drugs present in either antibiotics or at times any of the component present in painkillers can cause you the same problem.

I would suggest you to observe for a while that your dizziness improves or not and if you experience spinning of head is still there you should immediately consult your dentist so that he can change your medicine..

Hope you get well soon..

Thanks and regards..
