What Causes Spitting Up Of Blood And Pain In Throat?
Hi I spit up something that looked like a chunk of tissue with a slight amount of blood and my throat has been sore all day. Now when I look at it with a flash light the back of my throat has little holes and no I do not smoke. I m worried and would like some reassurence before I m able to get to a doctor.
It may be due to pharyngitis or tonsilitis. Until examination is done it is difficult to say what it is. Blood in sputum may be due to gingivitis or post nasal discharge with sinusitis or polyps etc. Use tablet Amoxicillin and Clauvulinic acid 625 mg for five days. If symptoms not improved please consult with your physician/ENT specialist he will examine and treat you accordingly.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
