What Causes Sporadic Burning Sensation On The Foot?
Hello. I am having short term burning sensation on the top of my foot, towards the toes. It comes and goes. The pain is severe, as if someone poured boiling water on the foot. Later, perhaps one-half hour, it is entirely gone. Pain is relieved quickly with an ice pack.
Burning sensation in the foot may be due to 1. Peripheral neuropathy in diabetes and vitamin B-12 deficiency. 2. Tarsal tunnel syndrome. 3. Lumbar spondylosis with root compression. Until examination, it is difficult to say what it is. Please consult your neuro physician he will examine and treat you accordingly.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Penchila Prasad Kandikattu
