What Causes Sporadic Fever Along With Severe Body Aches And Cold Sweats?
Hello, My sister is experiencing severe body aches accompanied sporadically by fevers ranging through 102. Once the fever subsides, the next phase is brought on by cold sweats and chills that normally lasts for hours. For the past three to four days we ve seen it the worst. Last week, she received results from lab work that her doctor suggested she see a hematologic immediately. Her thyroid came out good but her white blood counts are abnormally high and not from iron deficiency. Please help me with this situation.
As the white blood cell counts are abnormally high that indicates possible bacterial infection of any system of the body as respiratory, gastrointestinal or else. Kindly get further details of systemic review and attach the current medicine prescription as PDF format in follow up conversation so that better guidelines can be figured out.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
