Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Sporadic Inguinal And Testicular Pain?
My husband has been having right intermittent inguinal pain with periodic right testicular pain. Other symptoms are frequent desire to urinate, but not a steady stream; not much force behind it. He also notes that when water hits his anus in the shower it sends a pain to his right testicle. I don t know if he has a few different things going on or if they re all related. He was told he had a sever groin pull a few years ago and has had epiditimitis a few times in the past. He has done a urine at his pcp today and he s waiting for a he results. Thank you.
The important causes I would like to look into with your husband's symptoms include an inguinal hernia, prostatitis and prostate enlargement. Abdominal and genital examination (to look for hernia), rectal examination for propstate enlargement needs to be done. Urine analysis and culture also needed to look for presence of infection of prostate. Please be advised to follow up with your PCP for the required evaluation.
Hope this answers your questions Please address further questions here Regards Dr.Lekshmi
