Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hello, I was in a car accident two weeks ago. I have been feeling a numbness/tingling off and on in my left arm since. I would describe it as the feeling you get when you hit your funnybone (it is sudden and shoots up the whole arm, then goes away, but the arm feels weak.) An xray was taken of my neck and back, and an MRI was also done. Everything came back normal . No information was given as to what could be causing my arm to do this and, since it seems to be happening more often, I m starting to get really worried. Any help on what I may be experiencing would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
After going through your query I understand your concern.
I would like to tell you that nerve injury after an accident can be the cause of sporadic numbness or tingling sensation in affected arm. Possibilities of blunt-force trauma or flexion extension injury are there if you don't have deep cuts of lacerated wounds.
It will require a course of Physical Therapy and medication. Kindly consult a Physician regarding This.
Hope to have been Helpful.
Kind Regards Dr. Navneet Bansal
