What Causes Spot With Pus And Hole In Middle?

Hello, my son has taken a spot on his side, its just the one spot, but it went quite septic and we out cream on it, there was abit of puss coming out, but now it looks like there is a hole in the middle of the spot and im just concerned as its the only one. What could this be and why has he taken it?

i appreciate your concern about your son's health
The symptom you are telling points that are your son is having a boil which has eroded and pus has come out.Dont worry pus oozing out is a good sign.just take care of cleanliness so that it does not turn into an abcess.keep cleaning it with methyl spirit.let it dry.dont apply creams.
if it persist for two or three days give him a 5 days course of antibiotic like amoxicillin and see a physician.
