What Causes Spotting A Few Days After Menstruation?

My period ended eight days ago and today I noticed some dark orangey-brown spotting on my underwear. I put on a pad and it continued. When i went to the bathroom and wiped it came up orange/pink on the tissue. It doesn't burn or anything but I'm wondering if this is an early sign or pregnancy or an STD?
