What Causes Spotting After Attaining Menopause?

I am 52 my menopause started 4months ago two days ago I sow spotting two or three times a day when I wash only now its stopped I mean for 3 days only my doctor asked for ultrasound which I think no need for it may be its my menstruation cox its on the same date of my pervious menstruation do you think I am fine ? its just drops only one or two drops a time ,thank you
