What Causes Spotting After Depo Shot?

Hi I have recently been on the depo needle, I was due for the next one on the 18th of this month but 2 weeks before that I had slight red in discharge when I whipped just that one Time, usually when I'm due for the needle I get my period a week before or thr week of but still nothing, my breasts are rather tender and I feel neaseas all the time slight headaches and lower back pain, I have had 3neg test could I still be pregnant ?

Hi,

The possibility of pregnancy is less in your case as you are on Depo contraception and urine pregnancy tests gave negative results. The symptoms you are having could be due to premenstrual syndrome, which can present with breast tenderness, premenstrual spotting, nausea, headache, backache, etc.

Depo shot can also lead to side effects like inter-menstrual spotting, breast tenderness, nausea dizziness, etc. As urine pregnancy test kits gave negative results, no need to worry and you can go for your regular shot at schedule time. If symptoms persist or increase in severity, you can go for symptomatic treatment with your doctor's advice.
