What Causes Spotting After Induced Periods?

I've not got my periods last month, i visited gyn, she prescribed meprate 10mg for 5 days. After 5 days my periods started, but the amount of bleeding was less. After 6days my periods stopped but after 15days i'm xperiencing spotting. Really tensd for it, plz help.
