What Causes Spotting After Taking Yaz Pill?

Hi Doc. I noticed that after taking the last white pill of Yaz, I just have very light stains for 1 day not the regular period flow. Is this normal? I also noticed that as time goes by, my period becomes shorter and shorter until last month it was only a stain and this month a much more lighter stain.

Hi

Spotting or irregular periods can be common side effect of hormonal contraceptives especially in the first three months of drug use.Later your body will adjust to the hormone levels.

Missing/skipping a dose and failure to take the drug at the same time every day can also cause such symptoms.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards
