welcome to Health care magic.
1.If your doctor has said that there was some thing left with in the uterus / endometrial cavity. Its called retained products of conception - RPOC.
2.This can be confirmed with an ultrasound pelvis - which will help us to evaluate the uterine, ovarian and adnexal status, and reasons for the present spotting.
3.One thing which need to confirm is the cause for the present spotting - weather its previous incomplete evacuation or early pregnancy failure.
4.Suggest to see your GP and get the scan done and get the needful treatment - like repeat D&C in case of incomplete evacuation.
5.No its not normal.
Hope it helps you. Wish you a good health.
