What Causes Spotting And Cramps During Pregnancy?

Hi, I am 22 wks & 4 days pregnant. I strained while stooling . I felt wetness and after cleaning up with tissue paper, I saw blood. The blood has stopped and I don t have cramps. I can feel the movement of my baby though. Should I be concerned?. Thank you.

Dear madam ,I understand your concern.in my opinion as you saw blood on straining at motion it might be piles or anal fissure .piles and fissureare seen commonly during pregnancy due to constipation.and you have no cramps, and fetal movements are normal and spotting was for only once you need not worry.but consult gynae to rule out the cause of spotting ie.,piles orany other cause relating to cervix or pregnancy.if you have constipation take adequate fluids and medication to keep the stools loose which will decrease the piles..and even if bleeding is of cervical origin or relating to pregnancy apt treatment will help you .relax and dont take any strain..all the best.
