What Causes Spotting And Delay In Period After Sexual Intercourse?

I lost my virginty Tuesday, and I bled like any other girl would .. But it didn t last long .. I only bled when it happened and then spotted for a couple days after. But on Thursday night, I bled horribly. I bled through a panty liner, my underwear, compression shorts, and jeans. I was on my way home & didn t notice it, so when I got up it was also on the seat a little bit. But there was no cramping with it at all. I had cramping Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & early Thursday, which I think is mainly because I am around getting my period. k was supposed to get it on Tuesday, but I didn t. On Thursday, after I started bleeding bad, I went to the bathroom & wiped, and there was a little blood clot. I still haven t got my period and I m getting nervous. I just want answers.. I don t know how to tell my mom about it .. I m afraid she d be upset with me.

Hallow Dear,

It seems that the bleeding you had on Thursday was mostly your period, which could have appeared somewhat earlier; hence you are not getting your period at your expected time.

To find the scientific answer for this problem, if it is more than a week's time since your periods have been delayed, get your pregnancy test done on the overnight first morning urine sample. Earlier, these tests may report false negative results.

Alternatively, you may opt for Beta hCG test which gives reliable results even few days before missing a period.

If the tests reveal that you are not pregnant, my initial doubt could be true. Then you need not take any action.
