What Causes Spotting And Light Pink Discharge During Periods?

My period was supposed to start two days ago. Well I m having a strange spotty, light pink discharge of some sort with a slight itch. Not sure if it s a light period, or not. I m starting to worry. I ve taken three pregnancy tests, & are all negative. What s going on?

Hi,

Pregnancy tests detect the HCG hormone which is detectable by day 11 to 14. If this time frame has passed then the tests are accurate and you are not currently pregnant. If this time has not passed, it would be best to wait a few days and then repeat the test to get an accurate result.

Blood pregnancy tests can detect pregnancy faster. If the tests are truly negative then it is likely that the spotting means that the period is getting ready to start and should be coming full soon. You can monitor for this.
