What Causes Spotting During Pregnancy?

hi, I am 32 years old and 11 weeks pregnant with first baby. I have had an uneventful pregnancy, up until yesterday when I had spotting for the first time. No pain associated with it, so hospital weren't overly concerned - just said to keep an eye on it. Could this be caused by passing a large stool before which may have possibly caused cervical erosion? Please note that I had a private scan at 8.5 weeks where we saw the baby and a strong heartbeat, and we were told by Consultant that everything was exactly where it should be and healthy. Thanks.

welcome to Health care magic.
1.There is no relation with the stool passage and the vaginal bleed.
2.It might me a simple bleed which is seen in few cases during implantation.
3.However you have done a good job getting scanned and confirmed about baby wellbeing.
4.Even in future, any thing similar visit doctor and get scanned.
5.I would suggest in this case to have a followup scans.
Hope it helps you. Wish you a good health.
