What Causes Spotting During Pregnancy?

I am 6 week pragnent.i m using gastofit 300mg ngestafol capsule last 8days n continue for next 7 days. I saw a spot yesteday n feeling pain in my lower abdomen.docter advise me for rest n for put the leg on a height pls tell me wats the problem.is everything ok?
