What Causes Spotting Post Chorionic Villus Sampling Test?

My daughter had an amniocentesis and there was blood in the fluid. The amniocentesis was administered at 17weeks gestation and a CVS test was administered at 12 weeks. She has some bleeding one week after the CVS test. Could that be the source of the blood in amniotic fluid?

It is important for your daughter to have a check with your doctor and let him know of the bleeding after the procedure. Amniocentesis may in a few cases complicate the pregnancy and the pregnant woman should seek medical assistance for any possible complaint afterward.
