What Causes Spotting Two Weeks After My Periods?

Hello, so 5 days ago I had keyhole surgery to get my gallbladder removed because they said I had an infection. Everything’s been fine while I’m recovering at home but this morning when I was in the toilet I noticed I had blood (spotting) mixed in with my discharge when I wiped. I’m 22. My period finished 2 weeks ago and I have no kids. I’m not sure whether to be concerned or not but so far I’ve been to the bathroom 3 times today and each time there was just a little bit of blood. Please help me understand this, I’m still in a little pain so I don’t want to drive to the doctors but if it is important then I will figure something out

if you have normal periods before spotting may be due to infection.


Vaginal bleeding between periods may indicate an infection of your reproductive organs. Infection can cause inflammation and bleeding. Causes include:

sexually transmitted infection
vaginal douching
intercourse
pelvic inflammatory disease, which is marked by inflammation of the reproductive organs that leads to scarring

You may use antibiotics such as clindamycin cream.

after some days still you have spotting you may have a consultation with gynecologist. he will do needful for you.
