What Causes Spotting While On Birth Control Pills?

Hi my period is 21 days late and I ve been taking birth control pills but yesterday I started to feel a lot of cramps and today it got worse.. This morning a small amount of blood came down and I figured it s my period but now it s been 4 hours since the blood came down and there is still no sign of period blood, yet I m still feeling strong cramps. Is it my period? Or is it a sign of pregnancy?

Hello,

If you had unprotected intercourse it can be a sign of pregnancy.

I suggest doing a urine pregnancy test and a beta hCG test for further evaluation.
