What Causes Spreading Rashes On Body Of A Child Post A Dog Bite?
Hi my son got bitten by a dog two days ago. This morning i noticed some rushes in his hands and legs then i came home from work tonight it already spread in his body, like everywhere. Is it beacause of the dog bite? What should i do? im worried because my son has never bitten by a dog before.
Hi I can understand your concern for your beloved son.
Incomplete data like what was the site of dogbite? Has he received the antirabies vaccine along with tetanus toxoid? Has he received any antibiotic for the treatment of the wound?
It seems to me he has developed an allergic reaction which may be due to the anti rabies vaccine or the prescribed antibiotics. Nothing to worry about it you can give him oral antihistamine like Levocetrzine for the relief of the rash.
Keep him under observation for difficulty breathing, hoarseness or wheezing, swelling of the throat, hives, paleness, weakness, a fast heart beat, or dizziness in that case he should be immediately taken to ER for further management.
Hope this answers your query.
