What Causes Spreading Yeast Infection With Blurry Vision, Dry Mouth And Dizziness?
My wife has a Yeast infection and has spread to her skin. The Nystatin cream is not working fast enough as it is spreading. She had Pneumonia 3 weeks ago and they used heavy antibiotics on her and killed off all her good bacteria off in her GI tract. Now she is experiencing brain fog, blurred vision, dizziness, nausea, taste and smell is extremely changed, dry mouth, no appetite and at first diarrhea and now constipation. Her immune system is compromised. She tried taking Diflucan but severely reacted to it. What can we do about the yeast outside and inside?
Hello I understand your concern. Having been on antibiotics for several weeks, this alters the normal body flora and combined with a compromised immune system, predisposes for a yeast infection. She should definitely take probiotics 2 to 3 times a day or eat yogurt with live, active cultures. There are other antifungal creams and oral medications ( aside from nizoral and diflucan) that she can take such as econazole and miconazole creams and terbinafine pills. For the pills, you should make sure her liver has normal function and not combine with any medications that can interfere with liver function. I hope she gets better soon
