What Causes Squamous Cell Carcinoma On Forearm?

I have had a squamous cell carcinoma on my forearm. I have now read that carcinoma is caused by human papillova virus. What precautions should I take? I suspect it was caused by strong sunglight coming through the windscreen of my car and side window right onto that spot. Is that possible?

Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
There are various reasons why one could develop squamous cell carcinoma.
One of the causes is due to viral origin caused due to Human Papilloma Virus. There are environmental factors like exposure to UV light which could trigger the process of cancer.
It can be cured or controlled by surgical excision and radiotherapy.
You need to take proper advise from Medical Oncologist for treatment and subsequent follow up.
