What Causes Squeezing Sensation In The Bladder After Partial Hysterectomy?

I had a partial hysterectomy 5 weeks ago. Now as I reach the end of peeing, it feels like someone is squeezing my bladder... it doesnt burn, it s just very uncomfortable. It makes me try not to push my urine out, instead I just kinda let my body pee without pushing. My doc gave me antibiotics for a UTI but after taking 7 days worth the symptoms are still there... is this normal for post hysterectomy?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I think this situation comes as a result of the side effects of surgery. I think your body needs more time to adjust itself.

Wait for a week more and if it doesn't get better you should consult a urologist and surgeon.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Olgeta Xhufka , General & Family Physician
