What Causes Squishy Lump Under The Skin Of Clitoris?
Hi, I m 20 years old, never had intercourse, no chance of any sti s. I have a small somewhat squishy lump under the skin near my clitoris that appears frequently. It first appeared a few months ago and it s about the size of a pea. If I try to squeeze, it moves, gets smaller, and diminishes, but eventually comes back.
You appear to have a condition called Bartholin cyst. It happens due to blocking of Bartholin gland duct due to swelling, infection or simple blockage of the duct or opening of the duct. You can try home remedy like soaking the area in warm water or hot water compress. If the cyst gets infected then you may need to take antibiotics to get rid of infection. Few signs like cyst turning pale or yellowish in color with or without fever may indicate infection. If the condition doesn't improve with, you may have to undergo a small minor surgical procedure in OPD in which the cyst will be drained out.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Anoop Kumar, General & Family Physician
