What Causes Stabbing Pain In Lower Abdomen During Night?

Hello,
I'm hoping you can help me. I am 29 years and weigh 82kg. I work part time and sometimes have to do night shift. More often than not I get quite sharp stabbing pain in my lower middle abdomen. It can be very severe at times to the point I am bent over in pain. I have also noticed if I go out and have a late night this occurs. I don't seem to get this pain during the day. I am otherwise healthy.
Thanks
Emily

Hi,
Pain in abdomen can be because of many reason,
If your getting it when your hungry or at night then possibility of peptic ulcer may be their, other possibilities are
Renal stones(colic),

Sometimes amebiasis,
Gastroentrities may also cause this pain,
For this you will have to undergo some investigation like ultrasound abdomen and pelvis
And stool examination and visit a physician.
