What Causes Stabbing Pain In The Lower Back?

I randomly have stabbing pains in my lower back area and kidney areas. My personal doctor said that everything looks fine but dosent know why i would be experiencing these pains. Im a 21 year old woman and am relatively healthy except for allergies and asthama. Any idea what could be going on?

Hello and welcome to HCM,
Stabbing pain in lower back could be a neurogenic pain associated with nerves compression or nerve inflammation.
A complete assessment of spinal cord and spinal nerves emanating from the cord is required.
Compression and impingement of nerve can occur in stenosis of the neural foramina.
I suggest you to consult an orthopedician for clinical assessment, relevant investigations and thus management.

Thanks and take care
