What Causes Stabbing Pain In The Upper Rib Cage?

I have a stabbing pain in my upper rib cage on my front right side that comes when I run with each step, when I turn suddenly, and when a cough. I feel it in my rib cage area not deeper in my torso. Any ideas on what this could be. I have no history of this and am a healthy 30 year old male. Only other issues that I have been diagnosed with is Soriasis and degenerative discs in my lower lumbar.

Thanks for putting your query over here.
The pain you mentioned mostly can be muscular due to prolonged abnormal posture while working or sleeping.
Do you have complaints like-
decreased appetite,fatigue,low grade fever?
Any skin vesicles with redness?
Keep a watch over these symptoms to rule out any pleural disease or herpes zoster infection.Visit to physician if at all you get any of these complaints.
You can get certain blood investigation done like blood lipid and blood glucose.
May I know if you have habit of smoking, how much is your body mass index and are you under any medications?
Thanks and regards.
