General & Family Physician, Dr. Vasudha's Response
Hi,
The presence of infection is diagnosed by observing white, grey, yellow or green foul smelling discharge with severe itching, burning of urination & pain in back, lower abdomen or vagina. Labor pains show characteristic bulky vaginal discharge with intermittent uterine contractions resulting in opening mouth of cervix. To differentiate a physical & internal vaginal examination is needed. Please consult a gynecologist for that.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
