Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am a 58 year old male. While walking the dog two weeks ago, I slipped on ice and fell back on the upper portion of my scull. There was some bleeding, but it stopped very quickly. My eyes hurt quite a bit right after. I now am having difficulty with pain on the right side of my head. Stabbing pain about every 3 minutes. Naproxen seems to work, where Ibuprofen did not. Should I see a Doc if it continues, or should I wait 7 to 10 days to see if it clears up?
In my opinion, there is an indication of CT scan of skull / brain. It may confirm/ rule out any fracture of skull bone or any internal injury to brain. You can wait for some time, if the symptoms do not increase and CT Scan finding are normal.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
