What Causes Stabbing Pain Under Ear And Mild Fever?
hi, I am having pain under my ear and down my neck that feels like a stab when I drink liquids. i have been on augmentin for 6 days 875 mg twice a day with no improvement in symptoms. I ran a low grade fever a couple of days, and have been feeling very fatigued and achy. I went to the dr again 2 days ago when i ran a fever, he ran a cbc, and crp. One of my white counts was abnormally high so they ran a mono test which was negative. any ideas?

Hello,
Few possibilities are tonsillitis or pharyngitis. Usually they are viral in nature. Antibiotics wouldnt have effect. Please continue ibuprofen for fever and adequate liquid intake. Fever should reduce in a day or two.
