What Causes Stabbing Pains In Lower Ribs And Mucus Cough?

Hi,Im 21 years old and have been experiencing stabbing pains in my lower ribs on both sides,I have smoked on and off since I was 15,I have been on two different antibiotics which have not cleared the pain,i have a slight mucus cough,what are the chances the pain is due to lung cancer?

There are very few chances of this as lung cancer. But im my opinion you should first get done chest x ray. This will help to rule out lung cancer and lung infection both. And the most important thing is to quit smoking. I think by only quiting smoking you will be relieved more than50%.
