What Causes Sticky Large Patch On The Scalp With Smell?
i have a large sticky, gooey and smelly large patch on my scalp, just back from my fringe to the crown of my head. it makes my hair look greasy and in need of a good wash. it is very sore as well. i had this last year in a different place on my head and it lasted 11 months and i still have a small patch left. now this has started over the weekend and i am getting depressed. please help.

Your concern may be Seborrheic dermatitis. You require a physical examination for confirmation of diagnosis.
You can try scalpe shampoo, use it weekly twice, wash with soft water only and avoid hair oil after head bath and pollution. It will help you if it is Seborrheic dermatitis.
