What Causes Stiffness From Head To Toe?

Hi, may I answer your health queries right now ? Please type your query here...Enter your medical question in thishi doctor. thanks for taking the time to go through and read and answer my question. Now let me start.

I started losing some muscle mass a couple months ago accompanied by strange burning sensations. The muscle loss has slowed or stopped but i still have muscle tightness and stiffness from head to toe. the tighness is also around my cervical spine area and is accompanied by a bad burning sensation. I also experience some numbness from head to toe especially at night when i wake up and also some blurred vision. i feel so rigid all over. My muscles also feel like they are full of fluid. I am a labourer and this is making my job more difficult than usual. I havn't been in contact with any toxins or heavy metals as far as i know. I am not a drug user but did binge drink heavily for about 9 years. I have stopped drinking about 3 months ago. I have had muscle enzyme tests, thyroid, diabetes, full blood count, calcium magnesium, vitamin b12, potassium, abdominal ultrasounds, kindey and liver function, urinalysis, pancreatic enzymes and brain ct scan. All of these tests were negative. I have been to a few different doctors but they all just tell me to take a vitamin and get plenty of sun and take some painkillers. They are not interested in doing further testing but they don't understand how the pain is affecting my life. My question is could it be some kind of neuropathy? Although ive never heard that neuropathy can affect the spine. Or could it be ms or some neurodegenerative disorder? thankyou once again. i appreciate your reply. justin box
