What Causes Stiffness In Neck With Pain In Throat And Ear?
I am taking synthroid for hypothyroidism and gave been for a few months now. Doctor says my numbers are where they are supposed to be. Over the past month, my ears have felt full/a light ache, I feel like there is something stuck in my throat and my neck is sore/stiff (lately it s been very sore). I went to outpatients for this about a month ago and they sent me home saying nothing was wrong. I feel as though my symptoms are now worse and I;ve noticed that I am also swollen in the area of the supraclavicular lymphnodes (right above my collar bone). Should I go back to see them again or wait for my family doctor appointment in 10 days? Very worried about this ....
I read carefully your query and understand your concern.
The symptoms seem to be related to an ear infection . The ear infection cause swollen lymph nodes. I suggest using anti inflammatory medications such as Acetaminophen to relieve the inflammation. I also suggest using ear drops with antibiotic and gargle with salty water. I recommend to rest and drink liquids. If the symptoms continue, I suggest to see an ENT specialist for further evaluation.
