What Causes Stinging Pain During Periods?

Hi i had a diathermy loop excision on friday under GA all went well & afterwards only experienced period like pains, Anyway today i have started bleeding like a period & am having servere stinging pain down below & feel like i am needing the toliet constantly, please help jackie
