What Causes Stinging Sensation And Bruised Spot With History Of Having Psoriatic Arthritis?

I felt a stinging sensation in my ring finger and noticed that it has a bruised spot like a blood vessel had popped. I was not doing anything unusual that put stress on the finger. I have had this happen previously. I have been diagnosed with psoriatic arthritis. Would this be caused by the arthritis or should I be concerned about something else?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

It can be possibility with psoriasis. Continue its treatment and check with your physician if it is complicating things. You may need to shift in treatment [tnf -tors, mtx]. There are also newer drugs if primary therapy is not effective. As the immune system is the main cause. Researches shows better outcome with 'Art of Living' OMBW breathing exercises by an unknown mechanism. You must attend it also.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
